DogsInDanger.com lists dogs based on a dominant breed. Within that
breed category, many of the dogs may be mixed breeds. When you click on a
dog to see the full information about that dog you will see "mix" if the
shelter staff/volunteer who posted the dog felt it was a mix. If you
are specifically looking for a pure breed, please glance at all the pets
in that breed category, since many pure breed dogs are mistaken for
mixes in shelters.
