Currently Available for Adoption!!! Chino Rosehill - A40101090 Chino Rosehill (A40101090) is a hilarious goofball who has quite the fan club among staff and volunteers at the shelter. You'll laugh out loud when you watch him play with a toy since he's such a ham. He'll tire himself out with his comic antics and then flop on the floor to rest. He also loves to cuddle and when you tell him he's a good boy, he starts hopping like he's really proud of himself. Chino will also sometimes make goofy faces, like puffing his cheeks, if you offer him treats. Chino is a super sweet and funny guy estimated to be around 6 years old and he's a larger dog. He arrived at the shelter as a stray. He appears to have had some sort of trauma to one of his eyes but he gets around just fine. If you're looking for a ray of fun sunshine in your life, you need to come meet Chino Rosehill! Intake Type: Stray Medical Observation: Stable older adult. Right ear has purulent discharge with thickened skin and ulceration to canal, right eye is smaller and has blue cornea likely older trauma does not seem visual, slightly recessed likely painful no ocular discharge or nasal discharge, left eye seems normal. Feet may not heal in kennel setting, would benefit from foster home, will need rechecks for eye and ear infection, may need underlying cause of ear infection to be worked up but if related to one off trauma may resolve with medical treatments started through ACCT Philly. Behavior Observation: Social, quiet, did not take treats during exam but per vet nurse took many treats sitting in kennel. Allowed full exam lifting feet and check teeth and infected ear with minimal reaction. Personality: What a bub. This sweetie seems a bit shut down in our shelter environment, but when we moved slow with him, he moved slow with us. He allowed all handling and began to solicit neck rubs after a while. He liked standing close to his handler and seemed overall like a calm, gentle boy. This animal has only recently entered the shelter and is not yet available through ACCT Philly's Adoptions Programs. Pending medical exam and behavioral assessment, this animal may be available through our Adoptions Program or may require transfer through our Love Local Program.
