💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 King is SO incredibly well behaved, calm and dog friendly! He was quietly laying down licking his peanut butter kong but gave it up readily to come for a walk. Super easy to leash and trots along calmly on a loose leash. In the runs he was also well behaved, quiet and respectful of all the dogs around him. King LOVES treats!! He almost seems a little sad, who can blame him- so I think his photos just didn?t do him justice. But he is also a very handsome boy. In his temp test he was kind and respectful of Xander who was very anxious on the leash- gave some polite sniffs and left him mostly alone. He also didn?t react when Kratos was forward with him through the fence. We met a husky on a leash while walking back to his kennel and he was also great with him. Every interaction King had with anyone or any dog was positive- one of the best behaved dogs I've met in a long time!
🐶🐾 FINDER NOTES 🐾🐶 KING IS A SWEET, CALM & CHILL DOG & DEFINITELY DESERVED A CHANCE AT A GOOD LIFE. Jan 22 about 4:40 pm I stopped at the Burger King by my house in Houston & found a skinny stray dog. I was at the drive thru window, looked over at the truck stop area (dogs get dumped there) and saw a big skinny dog laying next to a diesel pump and he looked dead honestly. I got my food, pulled over, grabbed my slip lead and phone for video & pictures. I never know what to expect behavior wise when I see stray dogs. Turns out he was sleeping. But this guy seemed relieved to be FOUND! He came right up to me after he heard my voice and was friendly & sweet. It took a couple of minutes to get the slip lead on him because he was cautious of it. But after petting him some more he let me leash him. You can see his ribs, spine & hip bones. We walked to my van but he was scared to get in so we walked home, half a mile away. He walks good on a leash & is a sweet boy, loves his head to be rubbed. Twice we saw dogs being walked about 1/4 block away and he didn't react. I gave him food & water at my house. Then I walked back to get my van & food. Throughout the night & the next morning when I walked him we saw stray dogs from a short distance and he ignored them. He even ignored the stray cats. He was very quiet in his dog cage only barking when he needed to potty.
📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 🌟PLEA NOTES: We have a stray dog found roaming near a Burger King. Perhaps the only thing he was able to get was a plastic bag to eat. He has an upset stomach, hookworms, demodex+ and also High HW+. INTAKE 1/23 - 1 dog confined for pick up. Approved by #402 🚑Medical Notes: 1/24/23 s/o: dog was noted with vomiting up pieces of plastic bag and whole tea bags and diarrhea in cage. He is lethargic and not wanting to eat a: gi upset posssibly from eating plastic bags p: will treat with 600mls LRS subq sid X 3 days and 6ml Vitamin B subq SID x 3 days and will need to monitor. Leaving on vet eval to monitor 01/23/23 17:16 hairloss on face, heartworm positive, fecal: hookworms S/O: loose watery stool - noted by volunteers and AEO on field. Dog is friendly and high heartworm positive A: DDx GI, DDx Stress Related and high heartworm positive P: Rx Panacur 15 ml SID x 5 days; Rx Metronidazole 711 mg BID x 5 days
