About peanut: Male Staffordshire, 10 yrs. 68 lbs. Peanut was surrendered when owners moved to a place where dogs were not allowed. We are told he can easily jump a 4 ft fence. Peanut was very friendly when I got him out for pictures. He sat for treats and seemed interested in affection. Owner said he had been around kids and done well but does not like his ears to be messed with. I imagine he has suffered from ear infections at some point in his life. Here are notes from his temp test here: FRIENDLY GUY. SOUGHT OUT ATTENTION. DID NOT TOLERATE TOOTH CHECK - SNAPPED. FOOD MOTIVATED. TOOK TREATS NICELY. KNOWS SIT. W/FRIENDLY DOG - STIFF, FOCUSED & VOCAL.

***In 2018 Indianapolis Animal Care Services took in 8,036 dogs and approximately 1,000 of them were killed. The listings on this site are maintained by volunteers, not shelter staff. Dogs that are designated RESCUE ONLY are available to any approved IACS rescue partner, and are NOT available for adoption through Indianapolis Animal Care Services. If you are interested in a dog who is marked 'Rescue Only' please contact one of the approved rescue groups to let them know of your interest.
