About baby: A5215430 Baby is an adorable 6-year-old cognac spayed female Pit Bull mix whose former owner left her at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on September 2nd because of landlord issues. Weighing 56 lbs, Baby is a sporty, silly girl who will be thrilled to join you for walks or hikes and expects a few good belly rubs each day. She knows how to sit on command and walks okay on leash (although could use some additional training so she doesn't pull when excited). Plus, she seems to be housebroken. Baby will do anything for treats, so it should be fun and easy to teach her additional obedience skills. Baby is insecure around other dogs and should be the only dog in her new home while her new family gets to know her and learns more about her boundaries with other animals (in our shelter playgroups, she can be loose in the crowd of dogs, but if another dog approaches her, she growls and snaps at them). Baby has passed her shelter-administered temperament test. Baby is a great gal who will thrive in a loving home that gives her the structure; she will reward you with her goofy happiness and eternal devotion. Don't adopt just because you feel sorry for baby!
Adoption should be a well thought out decision, it's a lifetime commitment.
