About ace: Poor Ace. Adopted, re-homed and now back as a stray. Ace is about a year old but still acts like a big puppy - jumpy, bouncy and he can be all over the place. Ace knows sit and paw and takes treats gently. He's a sweet boy who needs a home that will work on his impulse control where toys are concerned. Ace goes bananas for toys but forgets that he's 70 lbs, not 10 lbs! He is a loving boy who needs a home that will provide him structure and training. Ace would love to fly out of the shelter and into a forever home this Howl-o-ween. Let?s make that happen for him. If you are interested in setting up an appointment to meet Ace, email visitcacc@gmail.com with your name, phone number and reference Ace / A217765. Staff will reply with next steps. ***Chicago Animal Care and Control takes in 8,000 dogs a year. The listings on this site are maintained by volunteers, not shelter staff. Due to the volume of animals received each day, delays may occur in updating the list of dogs. Some dogs for this shelter have hard due out dates. Others are listed with estimated due out dates based on the average stay in the shelter, and extended if the dog is still available. This dog's status can change at any time. Act quickly if you are interested in adopting.

If a dog is designated RESCUE ONLY -- Rescue Only dogs are not on the adoption floor. They are available to approved Homeward Bound rescues only. Dogs are rescue only for several reasons: they are waiting to be evaluated for the adoption floor, they have a medical issue, or they may need additional behavior training that CACC cannot provide, but rescues who pull from CACC can. If you are interested in a dog who is marked 'Rescue Only' please contact one of the approved rescue groups to let them know of your interest. You'll need to fill out an application with one of these rescue groups. Once approved you can foster and save a life. Approval or denial is solely the decision of the rescue. Please DO NOT call Chicago ACC regarding Rescue Only dogs.

DogsInDanger does not accept pledges. If you want to pledge for, or sponsor, this dog, please contact the shelter.
