If you're interested in helping us meet the animals, please message us! 🔹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: Stray ' Field 📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 5/22/2026: Very calm and easy to handle during intake. Walked well on leash, maintained a loose body, leaned into staff for affection, and required no restraint. 5/26/2026: Approached kennel with a soft face and relaxed body. Easy to leash and walk. Showed some low growling toward a neighboring dog during a fence interaction but responded when redirected. 5/27/2026: Relaxed in kennel and outside. Walked on a loose leash and calmly returned to kennel after time outdoors. 5/28/2026: Displayed a neutral body and wagging tail. Walked nicely on leash and remained calm around people. 5/30/2026: Sat up and growled toward passing customers. When approached by staff he remained at the door, accepted treats gently, licked hands, and enjoyed petting. 5/31/2026: Curled up resting in bedding. Easy to leash, walked well outside, remained loose and relaxed, then returned to rest quietly in kennel. 6/1/2026: Friendly when approached, greeted staff calmly, walked very well on a loose leash, and remained relaxed outdoors. 6/2/2026: Was a move-adopt dog that morning. Easy to leash and walk. Briefly growled at another dog when stopped in front of a kennel, but otherwise remained quiet and relaxed throughout the day. 6/3/2026: Wagged his tail whenever approached, showed a neutral body and soft facial expression, walked on a loose leash, and ignored most dogs while outside. Did show brief low growls toward some dogs in the runs. 🚑 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 5/21/2026: Intake exam normal. Vaccinated, dewormed, given flea prevention, and heartworm tested. 5/22/2026: Heartworm test returned High Positive. Staff noted he was very friendly. 6/2/2026: Sneezing with clear nasal discharge. Diagnosed with suspected CIRDC (kennel cough) and started on Doxycycline for 10 days.
