About a2222302: Intake Info: This beautiful old girl was found in Boynton Beach by a Good Samaritan who brought her to ACC. She doesn?t have microchip and it was noted that she is straining when defecating and there?s a lump on her rear end. She will be off stray hold on 1/21. Medical: She?s bright, responsive, attention seeking and was cooperative for her vet exam. However she is also showing signs of high FAS by tucking her butt and trembling with whale eyes. She nipped at the vet?s hand during the oral exam and became more defensive following the exam but was good for processing. She has an enlarged perineal mass suspected to be reproductive tissues. She was reactive to palpation but she also sat on the mass without issue. She has moderate dental disease and is overweight. She?s vaccinated and heartworm negative. Request to Rescues: This older girl is struggling with high FAS and a perineal mass. She appears uncomfortable and is difficult for us to handle due to her fear. We would love for her to complete her stray hold in a more restful environment, with better monitoring for urination and defecation behavior and response to therapies in case of discomfort or pain. She may have a larger mass that needs removal and has dental disease which will need follow up with a private veterinarian. Her multiple medical issues are beyond our capacity for care and we would like her to leave sooner rather than later.
