About doechii: Intake Info: A caller called from a leasing office of an apartment complex and stated that one of their resident's dogs, Doechii, bit another resident the previous day. Our ACO went on the scene and noted that Doechii was tethered outside for approximately two hours without access to shade, water, or food in the apartment complex's common area. The owner was not home at the time, our officer then talked to the bite victim, who stated that the owner was leashed walking Doechii when he walked past them; Doechii bit him, and he received multiple minor bite wounds. The owner surrendered Doechii to ACC.
Medical: The clinic will process Doechii upon the rescue request.
Behavior Observed: The behavior assessment is upon request per rescue.
Staff Notes: Our kennel staff removed the harness halfway off her without any issue. She was gentle and wagging her tail the entire time. Doechii was at the front of the kennel when the staff visited her. She barked initially, but she quieted down once the staff gave her a treat. She gently took the treat from the staff with a wagging tail. The staff treated her a couple of times with no issues, and she stayed in front of the kennel after she finished treating her. This is the first time Doechii met this staff; she did not display any offensive behaviors, such as lugging, growling, or showing teeth.
Request to Rescues: A middle-aged girl, Doechii, urgently needs rescue help. We did not know the root cause of the bite incident, but ACC would like to help Doechii go to a rescue that can offer her proper training and behavior modifications. Most of all, Doechii needs someone who can guide her with guidance, love, and kindness. She could be the loyal companion the one asks for.
