A dog's behaviormay change based on suroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life expeniences." On approach, was closed inside while staff were cleaning outside. Able to enter kennel, she was huddled in the comer, lip licking, shaking, and avoiding direct eye contact. I went slow and was able to pet/touch her. She did not seek engagement but was tolerant. Head shy/leery of touch around her head and flinchy. I was able to perfom handling "exam", but she did try to bite/snapped at my hand when I attempted to pick her up (once pressure on her abdomen). Ok for rescue at this time due to handling sensitivity.

Don't adopt just because you feel sorry for jenny!
