More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 27, 2026. I am in kennel DD18. 60.4 lbs Intake Date: 7/27/2026 Marty came in with Sahara (ID #A2088128), who was euthanized on 7/31. Now Marty is facing the shelter alone and urgently needs someone to save him. ⸻ Medical Notes: Marty is low positive for heartworms, a treatable condition with proper veterinary care. He has received his core vaccines, deworming, Advantage Multi, and other routine preventative care while at BARC. A tranquilizer dart was noted on intake near his left hip. ⸻ Behavior Notes: Marty is a calm, easygoing boy who has been consistently well-mannered in the shelter. He greets staff with a relaxed body, allows himself to be leashed without hesitation, and walks beautifully on a loose leash. Outside, he enjoys quietly sniffing around and politely greeting neighboring dogs before taking care of his business. He keeps his kennel clean, remains quiet indoors, and has shown no behavioral concerns. While he isn't very interested in treats, he is content simply spending time with people and taking peaceful walks.
