About mesa: EMERGENCY🆘 saturday 8/1/26 needs to be tagged by 4pm 🆘️ RESCUE ONLY 🆘️ Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: I am a female, black and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 months old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 01, 2026. I am in kennel DC36. Mesa #A2089054 Severely Emaciated Staffie in Need came in today after she was found by a good samaritan. She is extremely underweight and after our medical team evaluated her, it was determined that she will be eligible for early medical release. This girl was easily handled by staff and she is very sweet despite her evidently difficult past. Please let us know if you can help this girl ASAP. She would greatly benefit from receiving care from a private vet and a refeeding plan. 8/1/2026 S/O: QAR, friendly. Loss of condition over dorsum, hips, abdomen with temporal wasting present. Loss of muscle quality likely secondary to poor body condition. Feet and tail are red with loss of hair. A: DDX: severe loss of condition secondary to lack of food intake, chronic urine scalding P: Recommend early medical release due to severity of condition. Continue to monitor
