About kenzi: Located At: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Services Description: My name is Kenzi. I can be identified by Animal Care & Control as A1261078. I appear to be a spayed female, brown and black Mixed Breed. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 5 months old. More Info: I was picked up in Charlotte. I have been at the shelter since Jun 30, 2026. Kenzie is around 4 years old and looks like she might be mixed with a German Shepherd and a Beagle. She has the beagle coloring and the ears of a German Shepherd, but the petite size of the 2 breeds mixed together. She weighs 42 pounds, has tall, pointy ears, and a big, beautiful smile. She is up to date on all vaccines and appears to have a clean bill of health. Kenzie is sooo sweet and loving, she will get as close to you as possible for pets and attention. She may be better with a female handlers and tends to bond quickly. She is medium energy, and will happily be your little shadow everywhere you go. Kenzie does not like to share attention and will get snappy if dogs get too close to her, but she really needs to be the only dog. She does fine with passing other dogs on walks from a distance. She is crate-trained but she can present separation anxiety at first. She is a great eater and doesn't know any commands, but is very food- motivated. She does well in public with other people and can walk past other dogs from a distance without any issues. She is a great passenger in the car and will happily go anywhere with you. She seems to be potty-trained and has not had any accidents in the house. She enjoys going on walks; she walks very well on the leash and prefers a leisurely pace. She is not vocal, as we have never heard her bark. She would do best in a home with older kids only, as she can be mouthy and jumpy when she's excited and looking to get attention. She is a wonderful dog who is ready to move on to her forever home. video: https://thumbs-us-east-1.myalbum.io/video/1k0_h264/958f8457-d26b-4b77-ab08-aeac1f266c8f.mp4 Kenzi (A1261078) ' 2y petite sweetheart who loves sunny walks, car rides, and being your loyal little shadow.
