About rogan: --- 12-AUG-26 - Euthanasia - 08/12/26 14:37 **Final plea COB 8/19/26 Not foster or pawdition eligible** Rogan is a 10 year young Boxer type mix that came to the shelter as a stray at the beginning of July. Out of his kennel, he walks well on leash with mild pulling. He seeks attention from staff and volunteers, allowing pets all over; otherwise, he enjoys exploring the yard when out. In his kennel Rogan displays high signs of FAS/kennel stress in lunging and jumping on the gate when people pass by, having a tense body when they stop at his kennel. This behavior has escalated to pacing and painting feces in his kennel throughout the day. The shelter environment is too much for Rogan, he is unable to relax. Rogan had been on behavioral medications to assist with these behaviors, but they persist. PRC has exhausted their resources for Rogan, and he will continue to decline. If there is no commitment by COB 8/19/26 humane euthanasia will be authorized. --- 12-AUG-26 - Final - 8/12/26 **Final plea COB 8/19/26 Not foster or pawdition eligible** Rogan is a 10 year young Boxer type mix that came to the shelter as a stray at the beginning of July. He stood still with leashing and exited his kennel with a relaxed body and tail. He trotted, without pulling toward the isolation play yard, his head held up high, sniffing the air. Once in the yard, he sniffed and explored. He chased after the thrown toys. He stood next to me allowing pets all over. Rogan was easily returned and unleashed. - CL --- 07-AUG-26 - Rescue - 08/07/26 14:04 request for assistance. mr --- 04-AUG-26 - Observed - 07/27/26 15:30 Rogan was lunging at kennel door barking when citizens/volunteers passed his inside or outside kennels. Lunging, barking, tense body. When a leash is presented or his kennel is unlocked, Rogan gets down to the ground and waits quietly with soft body to be leashed. -NMS --- 31-JUL-26 - Interact - 07/31/26 12:41 When staff approached kennel, Rogan stood by his kennel door quietly. Staff offered Rogan a treat and he began wagging his tail, then took the treat gently. Staff was able to leash him easily and he walked with a moderate pull to the play yard. Once we were in the play yard, Rogan sniffed around a bit and then leaned with his front paws on the fence to see the dogs that were barking nearby. Staff called Rogan over to the bench they were sitting on and he ran over to staff and sat down next to them. Rogan accepted pets all over and even leaned his head and body into staffs leg as they pet him. Staff showed Rogan some toys that were in the yard but he was not interested in them. Staff decided to bring Rogan to the ISO yard in the employee parking lot. He walked well on leash and once we got to the yard, Rogan walked inside the yard from one end all the way down to the other end. When we reached the end of the yard, Rogan turned around and started trotting back to the front gate of the yard. Rogan stopped and turned around a couple times and waited for staff to catch up to him. Staff and Rogan walked back to his kennel and staff had no issues getting him in the kennel and unleashing him. Staff gave Rogan a treat through the kennel bars before walking away to end the interaction. RP --- 24-JUL-26 - Interact - 07/23/26 Per volunteer: Rogan was standing at the front of his kennel when I sent to leash him.' He was easy to leash and he walked well to the yard, ignoring the other dogs along the way.' Rogan ran into the yard to meet the other volunteer who was seated on the ramp.' He was treat-motivated and knew how to sit for and take them gently.' Rogan mainly sat by or moved between the volunteers, receiving attention. Rogan was easy to return to and unleash in his kennel. --- 22-JUL-26 - Interact - Rogan was lunging and growling at Staff during Kennel Inventory.
