About toby: Intake Info: One of our ACOs brought this dog into the shelter after responding to a call from a community member who found the dog at their gate unable to walk. The dog has a microchip, we have attempted to call the owner several times today, the dog's name is Toby. Medical: Toby is a 6-year-old intact male dog who weighs 30lbs. During a vet exam this morning our vet noted the following - Patient came in lame on the right front leg. Per road officer, patient is snappy but was handleable in clinic. Was BAR, ambulatory on the other 3 legs. Has blood coming from his penis. Has small wounds on the front two legs. Covered in sticker bush stickers on the front. PLRs were direct and consensual but of differing sizes; the L iris is not constricting to the degree that the R iris is. Has bruising around rectum and appears that may be defecating blood. Mildly prolonged skin tent - mild dehydration Request to Rescues: Toby A2042672 is a 6 year intact male dog in need of rescue as his medical needs exceed the capacity of care at the shelter. Our vet believes Toby was hit by a car and is suffering with related internal damage/bleeding, his right front leg was splinted & he will need to follow up with a private vet for continued treatment.
