butterscotch has 1 day left to live!

About butterscotch: This sweet boy has been with us since late July and is now about 5 months old. Despite coming in with an old leg break that has healed on its own (our vet cleared him'no amputation needed!), Butterscotch is a happy, playful pup who loves to run around! Even though he doesn't use his back right leg quite as much, it doesn't slow him down a bit. Butterscotch is a total sweetheart who loves giving kisses. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes, doesn't mind cats, and has even done great playing with toddlers! Located At: Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter Description: My name is Butterscotch. I am a male, white and brown Pit Bull Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 6 months old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 23, 2026.

Don't adopt just because you feel sorry for butterscotch!
Adoption should be a well thought out decision, it's a lifetime commitment.
