About toby: Adopt/Rescue- NODASMED- Needs placement by 11am 11/07/26 ID Number A1303111 Toby 5 Years Old (Will update once medical notes updated) older Neutered Male 42lbs Heartworm Test : Positive Intake Type: Owner surrender due to personal issues. Came in with Apollo A1303115 Bio Meet Toby, Toby is looking for a rescue, foster, or adopter willing to provide the ongoing medical care and support he needs. He has several medical concerns, including damaged cartilage in his left ear, lenticular sclerosis in both eyes, and generalized chronic skin disease. His skin condition causes significant itching, hair loss, thickened and darkened skin, and irritation. He also has a mass beneath the skin on his left hip that will need further veterinary evaluation. Toby will need continued veterinary care, monitoring, and treatment to help manage his skin condition and address his other medical concerns. He deserves the opportunity to receive the care he needs in a safe and stable environment where he can be comfortable and loved. Toby is currently at risk for euthanasia due to his medical needs. We are urgently seeking someone willing to step up and give him a chance. Medical 11/03/26: Skin condition, losing fur for 4 months. 11/3 AU- damaged cartilage, OU-lenticular sclerosis, generalized chronic severe dermatitis ( lichenification, hyperpigmentation, pruritis, alopecia, excoriation on dorsum ), SQ mass on L hip; urinated in treatment area so performed free catch UA. Would not allow oral exam or skin scrape so had to sedate. Appears older than 5 years. UA-pyuria, hematuria, cocci suspected CBC- non-regenerative anemia, leukocytosis with neutrophilia/eosinophilia/monocytosis/basophilia CHM- hyperglobulinemia Rads- hip dysplasia ( R > L ) Gave Cytopoint, Bravecto, carprofen injection, and first dose of amoxi clav and Proviable. Placing FDT ffor 11/7- 11 a.m. for severe chronic dermatitis, severe dental disease, hip dysplasia ( R > L ), UTI, and non-regenerative anemia. Skin Scrape : Negative Shelter Observations 11/03/26: Hesitant on leash, calm overall. 11/03/26: Toby was very sweet , he was at the front of the kennel curious of what was around him.
