About isaiah: Hello, my name is Isaiah. My animal id is #11738. I am a desexed male gray dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 5 years 1 weeks old. I came into the shelter as a stray on 04-Nov-2017. Isaiah is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease complex which si contagious to other dogs. He will likely require in home care with a course of antibiotics. There are no known behavior concerns for him at this time (average determination). A volunteer writes: Isaiah was the Prince of Prophets, and as such, hes predicting that hes going to find a wonderful forever home with our help, and yours. And why shouldnt he? Hes gorgeous, gentle, easy, calm, likely housetrained, a gem on leash, and an oasis of calm in the midst of a hectic day. Gentle is the operative word here, as Isaiah is gentle in everything he does, whether its taking treats, leaning in for a butt scratch, showing off his sit, enjoying some hugs, and wagging his tail. The person that found Isaiah tells us that he was friendly with young children he was introduced to, including his 2 year old nephew, and is friendly to all people. Be prepared for tons of compliments with this easy going, gorgeous boy at your side. His gentle good manners on leash, wagging his tail and sniffing as we go, will have you walking him often, as hes such a pleasure. His long legged good looks will attract you, but his gentle demeanor will make you fall in love. Trust us, and come meet him today. Summary:: Isaiah approached the assessor in the assessment room with a soft body. He was distracted during the assessment, looking at the assistant and sniffing around the room. He allowed all handling and displayed no concerning behaviors. Summary (1):: Isaiah has displayed polite behavior when greeting dogs in the care center.
