OWNER SURRENDER NOTES - BASIC INFORMATION: Rocky is approximately a 4 year old male tan and white medium mixed breed dog. Rocky was found as a stray and lived with previous owner for 6 months. Rocky was surrendered because his previous owner was not allowed to have pets in the home. Rocky previously lived with three adults and two children. Rocky will bark at strangers who come into the home and will keep his distance. He will slowly warm up to them and will eventually allow to be pet. The previous owner stated that interactions must be done very slowly. Rocky previously lived with a 13 and 14 year old child. Rocky is described as being friendly and playful. He allows to be pet and allows to be hugged. He sometimes sleeps next to the children. Rocky has not interacted with other dogs or cats.
Rocky is not bothered if his food or bowl is touched while he is eating. Rocky plays tug when a toy is taken away from him. He has never bitten another animal or human. He is housetrained and has a high energy level.
Other Notes:
Rocky struggles during baths and will try to run away. Rocky has never had his nails trimmed. Rocky is not bothered if he is disturbed as he sleeps. Rocky is friendly when an unfamiliar approaches his owner.

INTAKE NOTES ? DATE OF INTAKE, 04-19-2019: Upon intake, Rocky had his tail low but allowed me to place a leash on him and collar him. Rocky had a loose body and walked well on the leash and walked into his kennel right away.

Tech Exam
As per Dr. 1379, sedation needed to clean ears. Cleaned ears and gave claro - 2 doses each in both ears. Sedation: 1.0 mls of butorphanol 10 mg/ml and 0.6 mls of dexdomitor 0.5 mg/ml both IM at 3:40 pm. Full reversal at 4:20 pm with 0.6 mls of antisedan 5 mg/ml IM.
