About thannon: THANNON - ID#A323241 My name is THANNON. I am a neutered male, black and white dog. I weighed 64.1 LBS at intake. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old. I am part of Litter No K20-044840. I am heartworm negative. I have been at the shelter since Jun 11, 2020.I will be held at Memphis Animal Services until 06/15/2020 to give my owner (if I have one) an opportunity to reclaim me. I am available to be pre-adopted now. Pre-adoption must be done in person at the shelter at 2350 Appling City Cove and will be canceled if my owner reclaims or anything else occurs preventing me from being adopted. Pre-adoption fees are not refundable but will remain as a credit on your account towards another adoption. Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: Thannon was part of a playgroup with other dogs on 6/15/20. He was friendly and social. He played some, but was mostly chill. He was very tolerant of the other dogs jumping all over him and attempting to mount him, but also offered appropriate corrections towards the more rowdy dogs. Thannon was part of a playgroup with other dogs on 6/16/20. He was mostly friendly and social, but sometimes showed dominance by sizing up other dogs and marking. Thannon was part of a brief altercation. They both became snappy with each other. The handlers were able to break it up quickly and both dogs remained in the yard with no other altercations with each other or other dogs. Thannon was part of a playgroup with other dogs on 6/17/20. Thannon was a lot more relaxed coming in today. He was friendly and social at first, but then mostly kept to himself. He did seem to get slightly stiff when approached by other large males, but relaxed after the initial greeting. Thannon was part of a playgroup with other dogs on 6/18/20. Thannon was mostly friendly and social, but could be a bit antagonistic toward dogs who were showing signs of stress. Thannon was part of a playgroup with other dogs on 6/19/20. He approached another dog who got snappy with him, and pawed the other dog, knocking him over. The other dog backed off with no major altercation. Thannon was very appropriate with his correction. After this incident, he was friendly and social the rest of the time.
