Lloyd is a senior male, large mixed breed dog, who unfortunately came to the shelter as a result of his owner becoming homeless, along with another dog, named Ricco, who is also in care at ACCT Philly. Initially upon intake, Lloyd demonstrated defensive behaviors and was unable to be examined - growling and hard barking. With time however he adjusted and was able to be handled. His previous owner reported him to know a number of commands but also to have "stranger danger and to have bitten a neighbor. In care, he has had some good interactions, but has also exhibited warning behaviors towards a number of individuals (growling and lunging) and attempting to bite another dog.
