📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 🌟PLEA NOTES: These two unsocialized dogs were picked up loose in a neighborhood. Our officer spoke to the owner and they are aware that two of the dogs were brought to the shelter. INTAKE 1/18 - per social woker Ms. Tidwell, this address has a total of 9 dogs in and out of yard. She states we cannot get patient the help she needs to survive because of the dogs, can someone please make contact with me.
1/19 Medical Workup: When I approached the kennel the dog was pressed up against the wall and stared at me with whale eyes and furrowed brow. I kneed down and baby-talked to her and offered some treats. She continued to stare at me. I put the leash on the ground, and she smelled it. I was able to leash her. She fought against it a little bit and wouldn't walk out. I was able to lightly muzzle and work up.
1/19 afternoon, dog was lying down, trembling and whale eyes, head against floor so I could not get leash on right away. I squatted down next to her, and she lifted head to sniff me, so I was able to slip leash on. Stiff legs and leaning back away from leash while trying to take out of kennel. Once outside of kennel I got behind her to muzzle and pick up but then she began walking forward. I continued walking behind her all the way to new kennel. She entered open kennel and lied down at back; I left leash on as she would tense when my hand got close and was not interested in treats.
