About bama: Introducing Bama. She's a 3 year old boxer/Labrador Retriever mix. She's already spayed and ready to go home with you. She weighs 74 pounds and is heartworm negative. She's here at the shelter by no fault of her own. Her daddy is deployed, a new baby is on the way, and so Bama finds herself stuck in a full shelter, yet again. Bama was adopted from another shelter a mere 4 months ago. This poor girl can't catch a break.
The previous owners reported that Bama was previously attacked by smaller dogs and so she is not fond of other dogs up close and personal and in her space. She also will need a home with No Cats. They stated that Bama is housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic commands.
Bama will need a big yard where she can run. She likes walks, car rides, playing fetch, toys of all kinds, and being a lap baby.
Bama was eager to greet us from her kennel. She was ready to get outside and stretch her legs. Bama walked well on leash, was very curious, and flashed her biggest smile in hopes of winning your heart. She is all about the lead-up to treats. She dances for them but then loses interest. I think that could be due to the fact that there?s so many sights, sounds, scents to explore outside. Bama was in the yard with several other doggies. She watched them from afar and was curious, but meet and greets are always recommended, especially with her past history.
Bama is beyond ready for a forever family. She's been bounced around enough. Can this sweet, curious girl with the mega-watt smile be part of your family? Bama is eager to meet you. Come visit her at Cumberland County Animal Services. No appointment needed. Bama is ready to go home with you and be cherished and loved unconditionally.
