𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 Poor Queen has not been able to get a break. 2021 was confiscated due to a cruelty case. From that point, per notes, she has been picked up numerous times as a stray and returned to owner. Also, somewhere in the last year she must have been with a foster and went through HW treatment because she is now HW-. In November she was confiscated because of a minor bite case and returned to owner to then be found as a stray again. The girl has been failed so many times by humans, hasn't had a chance to know what it's like to be loved and given consistency in a home. She will need an experienced rescue and handler to get her some training so she can learn how to be the dog she wants to be. She is HW-.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 INTAKE (2/27/2023): *dog has been involved in multiple bite cases and impounded while stray multiple times. Previous notes stated that owner would not be allowed to claim dog after breaking foster contract* INTAKE (11/22/2022): Number of bites: 1 Severity of the bite: Minor Did owner sign dog/cat over for HTL or not? Impounded while stray, Recommendation: No plea, aggressive while impounding/defensive, calm and friendly during intake.
3/3 Queen was more wiggly when exiting the kennel this morning, c-shaped body and fast wagging tail. Walking back inside she would stop to sniff around at spots where other dogs marked before continuing to walk.
3/2 Queen walked with loose leash, tail out and swaying while she walked. Quiet in run but stood on hind legs and stretched when I passed by her run. Loose leash back inside and she drank water from her bowl and ate treats on blanket while I removed leash and shut door.
3/1 ACT brought Queen to DD ward due to being unavailable; she walked with loose leash, relaxed standing once ACT stopped walking and entered open kennel. Sat down in kennel while I placed blanket and dropped treats, slow wagging tail.
2/28 At first approach K9 goes to the back of the kennel and holds its head down with a tense body. K9 allow me to touch/pet it and i was able to finish the work up.
