𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 Twix may appear to have a long face, but this guy is absolutely loving being at BARC after fending for himself on the streets for likely his whole life. He gets two meals a day and a roof over his head, and he really couldn?t ask for anything more. He was easy to leash up and even stopped eating is breakfast to greet me. We went outside where he pulls pretty hard on the leash and LOVES to sniff around. He?s extremely food motivated and will sometimes chomp the treats, but he?s also very skinny so I expect that to get better when he knows he will always have food. That being said, I was able to put a bandana on him while he was eating with no negative reaction or even a tensing up of his body, which was great. He did well walking by the dogs with soft tail wags. He also has spotty feet and a spotty chest so must have a really interesting mix of breeds!
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 dogs roaming and charging people. Call came through Mayor's office. Pls impound and address owners. 3/12 Treat motivated. Relaxed body, licks hand, tail low wagging, looks up to you.
Medical Notes 3/11/23 S/O: Dog appears BAR and friendly. Poor body condition score. Multiple regions of hair loss and redness: behind ears, on dorsal aspect of neck. A 3 cm diameter spherical mass is present in pendulous skin folds below mandible. Mass palpates discrete from neck and underlying tissues -- seems to be only present in subcutaneous tissue. Mandibular and left prescapular lymph nodes are moderately enlarged. No evidence of discharge from eyes or nose. Missing top incisors, and bottom left canine. Significant wear on right canine. A: Hair loss appears to be from chronic dermatologic changes and pruritis. Mass differentials: healed injury or foreign body, neoplasia. Does not appear to be actively adversely affecting the dog. Enlarged lymph nodes: chronic dermatologic changes, generally poor body condition, or neoplasia. P: Monitor for pruritis and continued hair loss.
