About luckycharm: Luckycharm ACCT-A-138685 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical concerns. Luckycharm must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER by Tuesday, May 23rd by 6:00 pm. Should Luckycharm's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Luckycharm is a 3 year old male that came in as an APO pickup on 5/21/23. Lucky came into ACCT Presenting with bite wounds all over face, neck and front legs. He appeared stable to stay overnight so he was started on antibiotics and pain meds when Lucky passed out. He was then sent to a vet for further evaluation. Lucky arrived to the hospital with low blood pressure, very dehydrated, and was painful. He requires wound management and stabilization. He is responding well to fluids and his blood pressure is coming up. Luckycharm urgently needs to leave with a rescue partner who can provide further medical care for him. Per staff 5/21: Luckycharm is the biggest SWEETHEART! Despite being in a lot of pain, he was just wanting to be cuddled and pet. When you would stop petting him he would lean into you again for more. He was super tolerant of all handling and never once showed any signs of fear or aggression. He will just look at you with his pouty eyes for your love and affection. 5/21 staff noted: Objective weight 45 lbs Temperature 97F. While going to give dog first dose of pain medication and antibiotics the dog passed out into lateral recumbency. Was able to immediately get a response from dog through blinking and then was able to get him to stand. P was very weak when trying to stand and slowly sat down. Checked gums which were pale/pink. CRT was almost nonexistent. Dog felt cold, temp was 97. Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent.
