𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 4/4 A STRAY OLD SKINNY GRAY MED DOG ON COH PROPERTY
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 4/6 Approaching kennel dog had dilated eyes and seemed tense. I slowly entered and got up slowly and started to slowly wag tail. He walked well on the leash with a loose body and wagging tail. 4/7 Approaching kennel, dog was laying down. He saw me and then quickly got up and started to slowly wag tail. I easily leashed him and he walked out loosely with relaxed body. I took him outside and he just sniffed around and went potty. Coming back inside, he easily went into his new kennel. 4/9 Dog has been very still on the outside of his kennel. Treats placed on his bedding yesterday, prior to returning from surgery, remain untouched. Food untouched. When approached, he curls tightly, keeping head against the floor. He avoids eye contact as I try happily talking to him. Kennel clean and dry ; medication untouched on the top of his food bowl. 4/9 During PM feed, I offered wet food to Diesel on the outside portion of his kennel. He has been on this side all day. When he approached the wet food, he gobbled it quickly, smearing some of it on his E-collar. I later returned to his kennel and he was sitting up on his bottom. He stood, swaying his tail when I began talking to him. I leashed him and walked him out to the grass to potty. He walked hurriedly, as if searching, also making large circles around me in the grass. He eventually pottied and I returned him back to his kennel. I placed him on the inside portion where his bowl filled with kibble and medication was. He immediately began eating the food. 4/11 When approaching kennel he greeted me at the front of kennel with a slow wagging tail, placed leashed on him and as we began walking he walked on loose leash to the runs. Later when going to retrieve him from the runs he was patiently waiting by the front of gate, I then walked him back inside on loose leash to his kennel. Throughout the day he remained quiet laying on his bed. 4/12 Approaching kennel, Diesel was curled up in his bed. Once he heard me opening kennel door he got up with a relaxed body, closed mouth and a low tail. While walking he held a tight leash, I noticed that the cone around his head bothered him. He began to shake his head and scrape the cone on the ground. In the runs Diesel was able to get the cone off and was roaming around the run. As I was putting the cone back on he remained with a relaxed body and squinting eyes. After retuning back to his kennel Diesel walked right in and stayed at the door, he held a low tail and low head.
