Achilles is a super super shy boy. He is on the euth list for running away and flinching. 😞 poor thing was turned in as a euth request also and has only been at the shelter a week. When we got outside to the dog runs, he took about 10-15 minutes to warm up to me. He was timid when I tried to pet him, but he ended up letting me give him some love. ❤️ He started sitting for treats and taking them so gently. I think he is scared in the shelter environment and really opened up after a bit outside. He did awesome on his temp test too. The most beautiful chocolate boi🤎

9/6: Achilles was a move adopt this AM and placed in outside runs. Was standing at gate with wagging tail but once I opened gate and tried to leash scurried away with tail tucked, whale eyes and hackles raised. Running away when followed and had to corner and lasso leash on; very flinchy and walked behind me with ears back and tail tucked, flinching and lifting lip when walking him into kennel and tossing treats on bed.
