He is now on the euthanasia list for "Behavior (timid/reserved, low growling when handler was passing out enrichment, vocalizing, lip licking, ears pinned back, tense body, tail tucked, avoids being leashed and or flinches when leashed).". work. 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 3/1/2025: INTAKE: owner moved out and left dog was left in an apt . 3/2/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel, dog has timid body language. I opened the kennel presenting my leash and he cowarded into the corner. I was able to lasso my leash around him and baby talked him out the kennel. He followed with his tail tucked as I walked him to the next kennel. 3/3/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Was growling with whale eyes when I initially approached. When I showed the leash he flinched and pushed himself in to the back corner. I squatted down and sweet talked while tossing treats. He sniffed the treats but did not eat them. I reached in to leash him while remaining squatted down. He laid on his side semi exposing his belly like he was being submissive. Able to leash and then he walked out of the kennel. He had his ears back, head darting around, and quick steps initially. I took him in the hallway since the row he is in is extremely loud. I squatted and he snuggled close to my side and laid by me like he was using me to hide. I started petting him and so did another ACT. He began to lean on us and take pets. If we scooted away from him he would follow and tuck up against us again. Seemed to know the sit command and did so readily each time. Walked in to his row a allowed me to un-leash him once placing him in the kennel. When I closed the door he did not flee in to the back the way he had initially. He greeted me back at the door with a waggy tail and sniffed my fingers through the door. 3/4/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching his kennel to pass out a blanket and enrichment he was low growling and vocalizing, lip licking, ears pinned back, dilated pupils, tensed with his tail tucked. As i go to leash him to spot clean his kennel he avoids the leash and goes to back of the kennel. When i tied him to the wall he started thrashing on the leash. 3/4/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Allowed me to leash him but was flitch , when walking repeatedly tried to pull away, jump away, and craw away all with tucked tail and whale eyes. 3/5/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: avoiding leash, whaled eyes on leash kept walking around me as we walked and tangling leash on my legs. 📝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: T25-018439 03/03/2025 48.0 lbs OTHER Temperature : F 03/03/25 14:13 S/O: timid behavior, was initially growling in the kennel and shaking in the far corner. Vet tech was able to leash and walk dog out to be evaluated. no longer growled when in eval. dog was sitting next to vet tech and would continue to seek vet tech and lie down next to the tech. - the scrotum is mildly pink at the distal aspect but no discharge, not red, no other lesions.
