𝐌𝐀𝐗 was turned in on 2/27/25 and euthanasia was requested. He is now on the euthanasia list for "Behavior (walking on very tight leash, high pitch barking, and jumping up onto face level of the ACT. Turning and biting the leash when he would feel tension. Snapped at ACT hand when removing leash.)".
📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
3/2/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Vocal and whiney in the kennel. Walked on a foward leash, didnt take treats, open mouth with tounge to the side. High wagging tail. In the runs he was pacing and running around. Being vocal when I was getting a diffrent dog.
3/3/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: approaching kennel dog is jumping up while high pitch walking, I opened kennel and dog tried pushing through, Once leashed dog began to walk on forward leash while whining. Once in run, dog became overaroused, jumping up, pulling in ever direction, high pitch barking, not responding to treats. when trying to take a few steps forward dog was walking in circles around me while barking and pulling, tried baby talk and could not get dog to redirect. Had to stop and allow him to calm down multiple times throughout walk before continuing. Placing on adopt eval.
3/5/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: high pitched barking when I approach heavily panting/salivating. I opened kennel and leash, began to walk on a very tight leash to the point of walking on back legs trying to move forward. Stopped to harness to see if it would help. Dog began to whine and high pitch bark whie pulling forward after leashed. when trying to retrieve from run, I stepped into run to give him time to settle before trying to leash. Dog began to jump up to face level, zoomies and play bowing. He then went to the gate door and began to paw at gate while also beginnning to dig at dirt. I leashed and while trying to walk
him back into row when he began to pull and he felt tension he would turn to bite at leash. Tried offering meaty treats and chicken and it did not help. I placed into kennel and when removing leash dog snapped at hand not breaking skin. Covered kennel and offered enrichment. Placing staff only sign.
