This pretty girl is now on the euthanasia list for "Medical (Heartworms) and behavior (pulling back on leash, cowering in kennel, doesn?t walk on leash have to muzzle and carry to move, running away from handler in outside runs)." The shelter will help with heartworm medication if she is adopted through them. 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 4/30/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: three dogs loose in the front yard that charged at her and her daughter when walking down the street. States the owner stood and laughed. The yard does not have a fence around the front. 5/2/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: curled in kennel, easy to leash began to pull back on leash pushing paws down into ground has to muzzle and carry to new kennel. 5/3/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: muzzle and carry into a new kennel 5/5/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Tense body pancaked in back of kennel. I entered the kennel leashing her and encouraged her to walk. She was very hesitant to exit the kennel. I picked her up and carried her to the nearby open kennel. 5/6/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel dog is coewaring in back of kennel, avoiding eye contact. I placed leash and she kept tense body looking at wall. Did not walk on leash had to carry her to outside kennel 5/6/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching Hanji she was in an outside run. Avoiding me running away.
