This little dog was not euthanized. She died at the vet's, on Monday March 17th, where Fran' Pet Haven took her to try to save her life.
3/15/08 - 9 am update*************
The puppy is still fighting for her life. She is still drinking a little. Yesterday she also ate but she vomitted it. Please donate. Every day at the vet's office costs money... **************************************************************************************** 3/13/08 - 4:30 pm update. The puppy passed a lot of bloody diarrhea yesterday afternoon, but much less today. She is still not eating but she is drinking a little and her spirits are UP. A small improvement. I will put a new update tomorrow morning.

**************************************************************************************** 3/11/08 - 1 pm update: this is very, very sad, my brother died.
My brother and I are still fighting for our lives though. Some kind soul took us to a local vet, no knowing how she would pay for the bills, and we have parvo.
A generous person saw the appeal online and donated for 3 days of care: THANK YOU SO MUCH. We have a 50% chance of surviving.
Now, what's next? Who will foster us with parvo? Should we return to the pound, where the staff will not be able to provide the care we need?
The best thing would be for us to stay at the vet's longer. Could you donate to help with this?
Pleeeaaaase....
- You can donate directly to the vets' (specify this is for the two parvo pups from the St. Martin pound:
Reaux Animal Hospital Tel: 337 364 2811
- or you can donate (tax deductible) through the St. Martin Humane Society who will forward the money.

********************************************************************************************************* 3/11/08 - 10 am update: Right now I am not for adoption anymore as my siblings and I are not doing so well... The Animal Control Officer is watching us, she is giving us some leftover antibiotics and is hoping we will get better and be adoptable again. Otherwise we will be killed...
Don't you think we would benefit from a visit to the vet? Well... it costs money...
PLEASE DONATE FOR MY AND MY TWO SIBLINGS' CARE so that we stand a chance!

Look how cute I am! My mother is a Rottweiler and I am a little female, about 8 weeks old and I weigh around 12 lbs.
They love me over there, at the pound, but... pets are euthanized every Tuesday and I may be next... If you think you and I could live together, PLEASE HURRY, I have only so much time left... Look at me and tell me I don't deserve to live! Please adopt me or foster me BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! Call (337) 394-1220 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. DO NOT E-MAIL, the volunteers who posted me on this site have no additional information, you would just be wasting precious time. Just call (337) 394-1220 NOW! It may be difficult to reach someone on the phone because the staff has so much to do, but leave a message and please keep trying.
CAN'T ADOPT BUT STILL WANT TO HELP?
Making a donation will make it easier for a rescue group to \"pull\" a dog by helping with the financial aspect of the rescue.
When donating, please specify the pet, or indicate \"pound pets\". Your donations will be forwarded to the group who saves this pet, and if not, to help another pound pet.

Not sure yet? THIS PET CAN BE FOSTERED: you provide the love and care and the rest of the basics are provided for you. This gives you the opportunity to get to know the pet before adoption, or to keep it safe and healthy while it waits for a permanent home. Foster homes give many rescued animals another chance for life.
