Hi there. My name is Mia. I am an adorable 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier who was turned into the shelter by a friend of my former family because my \"dad\" threatened to shoot me. I'm afraid of little kids because they make me nervous, but I don't mind big or older kids. I don't like other dogs or cats, so it would be best for me to be your only girl. I absolutely adore women; I already made a good friend here and we go for walks and then I get to sit in her lap. I can be won over by men if they bribe me with lots of treats. I would prefer a fenced in yard, because I have been known to do a Houdini act. Perhaps my name Mia is really MIA for missing in action. I do like to try to run. I am loving to those I adore and would make someone a best friend. I am also very protective. So come see me or give the shelter a call. The shelter is open 7 days a week. Daily hours are 10-3, M/W hours are 10-6. Out of state adoptions are welcomed. Adoption applications are available on line at www.bcarl.org. Woof.
