About marcy: 12/30/08: Poor Marcy needs some miracles. She was in a foster home, but sadly she had to be returned because she just didn't get along with one of their dogs. Marcy would do best in a home with a male dog or as an only dog. She is such a loveable young girl. She not only tested positive for heartworms, but she also is positive for babesiosis. Canine babesiosis is a tick-borne disease caused by the protozoan blood parasite Babesia. At this time, Marcy is on antibiotic for treatment and appears to be doing very well. However, she really needs some more sponsor funds so that she can be further evaluated by a vet. Sadly, if no one steps up to foster her, she may not be given the opportunity. Please...her situation is urgent!
8/24/08: Oh my- this is the NICEST dog! Meet Marcy- she appears to be a Boxer/American Bulldog mix. She is gentle and loving (she didn't even mind the outdoor shelter cat either!). Marcy was just an angel during pictures. She was picked up as another stray....poor baby. Marcy would LOVE to have an indoor home to call her own. Like so many others, she has tested positive for heartworms. She could use some doggy angels right now :) Call Joan at 870-739-1145 or 870-739-5412 (between 1 and 5).
