*Roxie has tested weak positive for heartworms and will heed appropriate treatment. She is still very adoptable and will make a lovely pet.
Roxie deserves a chance! This female chow mix was an owner turn in, but a friend sponsored her adoption fee in full. Roxie's friend said that Roxie was a sweet dog and that, while she didn't have room for her at her house, she wanted to make sure Roxie found a home.
Roxie's owner said that she had a history of aggression toward other dogs, but has shown no aggressive behavior while at the shelter. In fact, she gets along very well with her kennel mate (another chow). Still, just to be safe, it would be important for Roxie to go to a family who understands her breed and is willing to work with her.
Roxie's adoption fees have been covered 100%!! The adoption includes: spay, heart worm test, first vaccines, deworm, microchip, 30 days pet insurance, bath, and a 5 lb bag of food.
