About ivy: This is "IVY"(avail 02/27). Ivy has an extremely sad story...She was found laying next to a brick home for warmth where she gave birth to a puppy. By the time we were called about her the baby had frozen to death. Ivy didn't want to abandon her baby so we took it with us to get her in the truck. For the remainder of the night Ivy lay by her baby's side loving on her, licking her, and softly crying. It appears that Ivy was either tossed from or hit by a car. But her wounds are healing nicely. She is extremely thin and needs to gain weight but her spirits seem good. Ivy likes larger dogs and is friendly with all people. She was not wearing a collar/id. No one has called to report her missing /lost. She has been given a parvo/distemper (7-way) vaccine and has been wormed for 3 days with panacur. UPDATE****Ivy has received a very special sponsorship from one of my local rescuers, Roxanne. Roxanne is unable to take Ivy (due to Ohio BSL) but wants to get her into a rescue that is able to give her a loving place to stay until she is adopted. Thank you Roxanne for helping Ivy as much as you can!!!!! Ivy's sponsorship coers her vetting/adoption fees to any approved rescue. Please call 330-424-6663 ext 1757 if you are interested in giving her a loving home and a second chance at life. Our adoption fee is $80 CASH which includes her spay, parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, 3 days panacur wormer, and an Ohio dog license which will be honored throughout the state through the end of the current year. We are opened Mon-Fri 8am-12 pm and 1pm-4pm Sat 9am-12pm ***Update*****If our hours are not convenient, our staff will be happy to set up a visitation/adoption appointment any Thursday evening in addition to our usual hours.
