About lennie: Poor Lennie was brought to the shelter with Buddy, the family's Jack Russel Terrier. Their owner came to claim them but when he found out the reclaim fee was $30. per dog, he refused to pay. He tried to negotiate the fee down as if he were at a garage sale. When the SAVE Center explained that was our policy and we have been feeding his dogs and we vaccinated and dewormed his dogs, he still refused to pay. He decided he would take Buddy and leave Lenny behind. The even sadder part is he was able to pay the reclaim fee with a $100. bill.
Poor Lennie deserves someone that cares and appreciates him. Is he worth more than $30. to you?
