About #217xxxxxurgent!!!: ITS REALLY, REALLY SCARY HERE AT THE SHELTER! Hi - I am a 4 year old, small (just about 20lbs),male, spaniel mix. I am really scared here at the shelter. Probably because at my age, I am just used to living in a house, and not a place like this. I don't know why the person who was supposed to be my guardian let me end up here, but I am hoping and praying it is not my last stop. I still have lots of living to do. I just need someone that will be understanding about my being so scared and be gentle and loving with me. The staff here say that even though I act so fearful and have even been a little bit aggressive here, I am also mellow and seem like I just need someone willing to give me some TLC. Please come down and meet me asap. As of the 22nd, I am already living on borrowed time! Please show me that even though I am terrified here, I still don't deserve to be killed. I just want a chance with someone kind and patient. Please! ALL DOGS ARE URGENT- DOGS ONLY GET TEN DAYS TO BE ADOPTED BEFORE BEING EUTHANIZED! (THE TEN DAYS START THE DAY THE DOGS ENTER THE DOG POUND..) The "LEGAL DAY OF ADOPTION" is the first day the dog can be adopted into a home and the day the dog can be put to sleep if no home is lined up for the dog... ALL DOGS MUST STAY UNTIL THEIR LEGAL DAY OF ADOPTON. They are strays found in Hartford, so we have no history on them. This includes not knowing anything about the vaccine history or if they are spayed. Unfortunately these dogs only have 10 days to find a home, so if you are interested in any animal, please contact us ASAP!!!
