BASIC INFORMATION

Bruno is an 8 year old neutered American pit bull terrier. He was adopted from ACC when 7 years ago. He was surrendered because her previous owner is moving and isn?t allowed to have pets. The last time he went to the vet was one year ago.

SOCIALIZATION

Around strangers Bruno is friendly and outgoing and when he plays with adults he is gentle. Around children ages 7 to 11 years old he is relaxed and playful and gentle at play. Around other dogs Bruno barks, growls and lunges however he has a wagging tail and wiggly body.

BEHAVIOR

Bruno has never attempted to bite a person or animal. He isn?t bothered by storms or fireworks. If him bone is taken away from her while eating he growls. He isn?t bothered if his food bowl is touched while eating. He is playful a toy is taken from him. He is afraid of baths; he isn?t bothered if his paws are touched. He got very excited if an unfamiliar person approached his home or previous owner.

FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW

Bruno is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and excitable with a high activity level. The two things his previous owner liked most about him were; he?s affectionate and cuddles. When his previous owner was home he would tend to follow her around. His favorite toys are balls and squeaky toys and his favorite games are tug and fetch. He was kept indoors only, and at night he slept in his dog bed. He ate both wet and dry Pedigree. He is house trained and uses the bathroom in the tub if not walked. He was well behaved if left alone in the home, for the first hour he paces and whines but then relaxes. He knows the cues; laydown, sit and give paw. He was walked twice a day and on leash he pulls lightly.

BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE

Bruno allowed me to pet him, collar him, and took treats gently. He sat on command and had a wagging tail and wiggly body. He showed no signs of aggression.
