Medical Summary 1/30/17 Sex: Female, appears to be spayed Scan: Not able to scan Estimated age: Reported to be 10 years old by previous owner who owned this dog for her entire life Fleas: No flea dirt. Hx: Was not socialized with people or dogs stayed in house for her entire life S: Very nervous around people snaps at approaching hands, growls, makes and holds eye contact. Restrained with catch pole for brief hands on exam. O: BAR H, BCS 9/9 EENT: No discharge OU, AU, nose. Oral exam not performed. PLNs: Not palpated H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Large, not palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. Seborrhea sicca. 4 to 6 small (1 to 2 cm) alopecic patches on left and right flanks skin in some patches is erythematous but in other patches is dry and quiet. UG: Female, undeveloped nipples and vulva A: 1. Obese 2. Patchy alopecia R/O trauma (source unknown) vs. fleas vs. other?? 3. Appearance consistent with being spayed, reported spayed Short term prognosis: Good P: 1. Recommend weight loss of 20 to 30 lbs 2. Oral exam and closer exam of alopecic patches when possible 1088
