SEVYN aka MOANA aka DREAM A1091412 (ALT ID ? A1108790)
A volunteer writes: Yes she is one! A little slip of a girl, sweet and friendly, a bit hand shy and happy to make new friends. Dream calls for attention in her upper kennel, allows herself to be lifted down easily and out we go. Using the facilities outside right away tells me she might be housetrained and she sniffs all the pungent smells enroute to the park. Dream is lovely on leash and stop every once in a while as if thinking about the direction we are heading, and with a bit of coaxing we move on. Cuddling and kissing are specialties and she wags her tail gently as we snuggle. Her intake notes are adorable, as she did not like being restrained, but kissed the handler during the process. Seriously sweet!! An adorably tiny little girl, Dream is hoping her dreams will come true, and that she will find a new person to love. She will make your dreams come true too. Come meet her today.

DOG DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT:
Summary
PLAYGROUP:
When off leash with another dog, Sevyn will immediately attempt to mount. She will listen to correction then solicit play with playbows and twirls.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 4/13/17
During her initial medical exam, Sevyn was tense.
ENERGY LEVEL:
We have no history on Sevyn so we cannot be certain of her behavior in a home environment. However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep her engaged and exercised. We recommend long lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide and seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct her energy and enthusiasm.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience, especially with behaviors outlined below)
No young children (under 5): Due to Sevyn?s response to some of the SAFER handling items, we feel she may be intimidated by small children.
Potential challenges:
Fearful: Sevyn takes some time to warm up to new people, though she shows good coping skills when uncomfortable. We feel she will do best with an adopter prepared to allow her to warm up to new people and new environments slowly. Use of treats and other rewards will help to make new experiences positive. Positive reinforcement, reward based training is recommended.
