My name is SUGAR.
I am a spayed female, brown and white Mixed breed. I weighed 55.4 LBS at intake. The shelter staff thinks I am about 4 years old. Intake Date: Dec 06, 2017 Available: Dec 06, 2017 Intake Type: Return/Over The Counter ***PRIORITY*** ***CRITICAL List*** Added to the Urgent/Critical List on 12/22/17 - Behavior has improved but can still be unpredictable. ***RETURNED*** Sugar was adopted on 8/8/13 and was returned 12/6/17 😭 Her owner's living situation had changed and they could no longer care for her. ***SPECIAL PLEA*** As you know, as long as we have space, we will not euthanize as adoptable animal simply because of a time limit they've reached - but the inevitable result of us having the luxury of giving these animals more time is that some of them are becoming less adoptable while they're here. There are some dogs that came in with existing behavioral challenges that kept them from being picked for public adoption, and now that the effects of long term kenneling (which begins to take effect just after two weeks), they are even less likely to be chosen for public adoption. These guys NEED rescue to save them. Be a hero! So please take a special look at the below 15 dogs which are all also on the Urgent List. If the animal ID has a 💗 next to it, the dog has been ADOPTED/RESCUED! Now we need to focus on euthanizing for time - because of what time in a shelter environment is doing to these dogs. Come next week, if these 15 dogs are still here, we have to ask ourselves, is it fair to let them sit here going absolutely crazy in their kennels, with no clear path to leaving our facility? Please help us get these guys out of the kennels, so they can start 2018 with a new hope of finding a forever home.
