A volunteer writes: I would like to buy the world a Coke. And then have them meet Cherry Cola. What do you get when you combine delectable, irresistible sweetness and bubbly, effervescent charm? Why a 2 year-old refreshing and brindled beauty with a sugary heart of gold. Cherry Cola is a fancy twist on an all American classic. Shes slight and elegant, with a long, pretty frame, and a swizzle stick tail thats nothing if not wagging. And she carries a bright and sunny smile no matter the weather, and the child like wonder of a girl forever at play. But Cherry Cola (just Cherry to friends) is also spunky and silly with a wonderfully goofy side, leaping into your lap with abandon at one moment, then pushing at your legs for play at the next. Cherry comes to us as a stray, so much of her past is unknown. She is a bit thin. Her nails are a bit long. And the tip of that swizzle stick tail is in need of some TLC. But more importantly, shes loving and snuggly, well mannered and bright, a nice walker and appears to be housebroken. Yes I would like to buy the world a Coke. Then have them meet Cherry Cola. And watch every last one of them fall madly in love. And the most special of them bring our girl home. Cherry Cola is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan ACC.dogs. We suggest that Cherry Cola would be best suited to an experienced dog home.

Summary:: Cherry Cola approached the assessor in the assessment room with a soft body. She was social, allowed all handling, and displayed no concerning behaviors.

Summary:: Cherry Cola has had limited interaction with other dogs while in our care. She has displayed reactivty toward other dogs on leash, pullin toward, barking. She displayed interest in brief greeting when introduced off leash. Follow up on behavior around dogs should be conducted at a slow pace to respectful, socialized dogs.

Summary (1):: 12/5: When introduced off leash to the male helper dog, Cherry Cola is initially a bit tense when greeting, then follows, sniffs with a softer body and wagging tail.
