**** TO BE KILLED - 4/27/2019 ****

LIKE ALL NEWLY-ABANDONED POOCHES, Romeo is scared and unsure. But he just needs a little time, love and attention to warm up and come out of his shell. He's a scared boy who has lost everything and everyone he ever loved and just needs a chance with a true and committed family. Romeo is a very handsome boy with an amazing smile and we want to find him a home equally amazing. He lived with one adult and that's who he spent most of his time with but Romeo was great with visitors who had an infant. Whenever he spent time with the baby, Romeo was said to be respectful and gentle with him. Romeo sounds like a rockstar waiting to happen. We just need to get him into the right hands. Safe and loving hands. He's young and will need patience and training. All dogs rock, but a dog that knows he's safe and loved is AWESOME.

ROMEO@MANHATTAN ACC
Hello, my name is Romeo
My animal id is #60653
I am a desexed male brindle dog at the
Manhattan Animal Care Center
The shelter thinks I am about 2 years old, 47 lbs
Came into shelter as owner surrender Apr. 21, 2019
Reason Stated: LANDLORD won't allow
Romeo is rescue only

Romeo is at risk, new hope only determination, for behavioral reasons. Romeo has not acclimated well to the care center and has remained fearful; lunging and barking at strangers and exhibiting on leash and barrier reactivity. Romeo would be best suited for placement with a new hope partner that can provide the necessary behavior modification. Medically, Romeo has a skin condition which may require follow up care, but otherwise seems healthy.
