Jewelz ACCT-A-227033 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space for incoming dogs, and length of stay. Jewelz must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by Wednesday, August 20th at 10 A.M. Should Jewelz's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Jewelz came to ACCT Philly on July 27th, 2025, after being found as a stray and brought in by police. From day one, this handsome tan boy has been full of puppy energy and affection. He greets people with a wiggly body and bright eyes, ready to make friends. Jewelz can be a little jumpy and mouthy when excited, but he responds well to treats and redirection, already knowing ?sit? and showing off how gently he can take snacks. He?s made progress each day and is showing signs of being housebroken.
Outside of his kennel, Jewelz is playful, curious, and loves toys. He?s shown he can calm down after bursts of energy and is tolerant of handling. Volunteers describe him as strong and spirited, with a sweet side that shines through once he?s had a moment to settle. He has also displayed some nervousness when re-entering his kennel and benefits from gentle encouragement.
Jewelz is looking for an adult-only home where he can continue building confidence, work on leash manners, and have an outlet for his youthful energy. With consistency and love, he?s sure to blossom into a loyal, fun companion.

Per volunteer 7/31: Jewelz is a sweet, strong, energetic boy. He was excited to be taken out, and easy to leash. He pulls hard through the kennel but was super friendly in the run and loved treats and playing with toys. He seems to partially know sit but needs more practice and focus. During play with a toy he got jumpy and started to get mouthy, but settled quickly when play was stopped. Good boy.
07/31/2025 Walksheet notes: Mild issues with mouthing and jumping. Hgh energy. Friendly boy, pulls hard, likes treats and toys, gets mouthy and jumpy when too stimulated but settled down quick.
07/31/2025 Walksheet notes: No issues noted during walk. High energy. Pulls, strong. Frantic.
07/30/2025 Walksheet notes: No issues noted during walk. Low energy. Good boy
07/29/2025 Per staff: Jewelz was laying down on his bed with neutral eyes and came up to the front with a neutral body. I let him sniff my hand and he greeted me with a mid level wagging tail. I offered him a treat which he took very gently. He sniffed the leash curiously but was nervous as I tried looping him overhead. I offered him another treat on the floor and looped him overhead. Once secured he was a bit hesitant to come out but with some encouragement he came right out. Outside he sniffed around curiously and was tolerant of handling on his back end as he ate some grass. Once he was in the yard he jumped all over me and was super excited as I dropped the leash. He is super playful and can be a bit much but calms himself down when he is offered treats. He is a very handsome boy with lots of puppy energy. He took treats very nicely and knew sit. He nibbled at my face and begged for more treats. He had a dog meet and was very wiggly but quickly turned himself away and disassociated. Going back into his kennel he became very submissive and dropped himself down on the floor with a wagging tail. He was very nervous to go into his kennel and needed some encouragement as I took a half step into the kennel.
