💜 Volunteer Notes
Fiona does not like the camera which is a shame as she a beautiful!! I took my time leashing her with no issues. She was scared at first but after several minutes she was following me around the run! She definitely needs to decompress with a good collie foster, not a boarding candidate!
🔹Intake
Black medium dog & brown/white dog abandoned inside the unit. Caller asking for AC to come before 4pm. Remove dogs after 12:30 on 8/14.
📝 Shelter Notes:
8/21/25: When opening kennel door, Fiona backs up in the corner. When lassoing the leash, she flinched aggressively when the leash touched her but she walked on a loose leash. Walked with a tense body and tail tucked. Fiona walked back in kennel straight to the back and sat in the corner. She slightly showed teeth when I went to grab the leash so I took the leash off with the hook.
8/17/25: Sitting at back of kennel, tense and whale eyes. Squatted down and baby talked and she stood slightly, tail still down but fast wagging, hesitant to approach. Timid and skittish of sudden contact and needs slow intro. I kept leash away and offered her treats; she did not take them but did come closer to sniff. I pet her for a couple of seconds and she sat at me with wagging tail and I placed leash on. Walked out with tight leash to runs. At gate, tail low but wagging. Pet for a bit before leash again and walked with very tight leash leading the way back inside. Removal leash and shut kennel door without issue.
8/16/25: Dog was at front of kennel forward lunging, barking, growling, presented tense body, hard stare, stiff erect tail and lip licking. Able to slowly toss leash on and over head. Once leashed, walked on a tight forward leash ignoring redirection, went potty as soon as we reached the grass, maintained tight leash heading in and out of veal building.
8/15/25: Approaching kennel dog had a tense body, whole eyes. Upon opening kennel, lunged forward, then ran to the back growling. Used long leash to lasso and show teeth. Once leashed she started thrashing, walked out with tail tucked and followed into new kennel, unable to remove leash.

P: Rx Clavamox 375mg BID x10, Rimadyl 100mg SID x10.
