📝 Shelter Notes:

8/23/25 ? Approaching kennel, Bubba comes to me with a wagging tail and low ears as I babytalk to him. Dog came out of kennel with a forward leash and would ignore treats being offered. Noticed that once placed back in kennel, dog was heavy panting even after 30 minutes of being back in kennel and would vocalize occasionally with dilated pupils. Covered kennel door and gave extra enrichment.

8/28/25 ? Approaching kennel, Bubba holds dilated pupils, wagging tail, open mouth pant, and low ears as I babytalk to him. He comes out with semi-forward leash and wiggly body. Noticed that he kept vocalizing once left in run as well as when placed back in kennel. Covered kennel door and noticed that he would forward bark at other dogs passing by his kennel even when it was covered.

8/29/25 ? When approaching kennel I observed that he kept his kennel clean throughout the night, once it was his turn to go outside he walked on semi-loose leash and occasionally stopped to look back towards me as I offered him a treat which he took nicely. Once outside he had no zoomies and ran with other dogs along the fence line. He is a Giant Baby!

9/4/25 ? In front of kennel with a wagging tail, soft open mouth and semi wiggly body, easy to leash walked on a loose leash too and from runs.

8/29/25 ? Dog was coughing with clear nasal discharge outside in dog run. Sending to South D for treatment. Dx: CIRDC. Rx Doxycycline 400mg SID x 10 days.
