🔹 Intake
Ace was adopted from BARC on 4/1/23 after being found as a stray. Returning on 10/11 as a confiscate after a minor bite

📝 Shelter Notes:

10/11/25 ? Number of bites: 1
Severity of the bite: Minor
Did owner sign dog/cat over for HTL or not? YES
Recommendation: plea.

3/26/23 ? This dog is very sweet and was trying to stick by the other dog. Didn?t even try to run.

3/28/23 ? Approaching kennel, dog is cowering, tail tucked, and ears back. Did not take treats. When I placed the leash, he slowly stood up and started shaking. I had to lift him out of kennel; then he slowly started walking with head down. I opened kennel door and had to lift him in again, leaving treats on floor.

3/30/23 ? Whenever I approached kennel at the runs, he showed a tense body, had a tucked tail, kept licking his mouth, and had right front paw in the air. I offered him treats and he took them, but once I tried to leash him, he took a step back. I had to come back for him later. I was able to leash him the second time I came by; he was much more relaxed, let me leash him, and he walked on a semi-tight leash.

🚑 Medical Notes:

3/26/23 ? Miotic dark debris in left ear. Ear canal mildly thickened and inflamed. ADx: otitis externa. Treated with Claro.
3/27/23 ? HW test positive.
3/30/23 ? Reviewed heartworms and offered heartworm treatment at no cost if purchase 6-months of prevention.
4/01/23 ? Neutered. Routine surgery performed with no complications.
4/06/23 ? 10/14: Heartworm treatment consent form uploaded.
