📝 Shelter Notes:

10/07/25: Xavier was at the front of the kennel with a wiggly body, fast wagging tail and dilated eyes. Walking Xavier out to the dog run, he was very jumpy and walking in all directions. I tossed treats to redirect him from jumping on me but he was not interested. Once I got him in the dog run, I tried to remove the leash but it took me awhile since he was not taking any treats and jumping on me. Xavier pulls forward on the leash to the dog run and back to the kennel.

10/09/25: Xavier presents a wiggly body, a wagging tail, soft facial expression. When walking him outside, he would be pulling on the leash, while walking in circles. Whenever I stopped walking, he would jump on me, I offered him treats but he won?t take them.

10/10/25: Xavier was howling early before I took him out for a walk. He presents a wiggly body, with a wagging tail and soft facial expression. He will still jump on me while we are walking towards the runs. I give him treats, but he doesn?t always take them.

10/11/25: Jumping onto kennel door, with a wagging tail and wiggly body, walks on a tight leash.

10/12/25: When trying to leash Xavier from his kennel to take him outside, he is jumping trying to reach for my face, having to redirect him down and use treats as a distraction, noticed it fixes him up more if treats aren?t thrown immediately after he eats the first batch, doesn?t bark in the kennel run, he is more jumpy and excited to meet people.

10/12/25: Postwalk he is calmer in his kennel and is not jumping on the kennel door, more so sitting there watching people walk by.

10/13/25: The dog is constantly jumping on the kennel door and barking. An attempt was made to cover the kennel, but he pulled the sheet down and uncovered it. During the morning walk, he repeatedly jumped on me. I attempted to redirect him with treats, he ate some but continued to jump.

10/14/25: Continues to show same behavior as yesterday. Xavier is constantly jumping on the kennel door and barking. An attempt was made to cover the kennel, but he pulled the sheet down and uncovered it. During the morning walk, he repeatedly jumped on me.
