🔹 Intake:
12/23/2025 ? Four aggressive stray dogs with collars roaming by an old burned building where homeless individuals keep dogs. Dogs charged at caller and bit her personal dog at her business. At time of calling, dogs charged at her and she got injured.

📝 Shelter Notes:

12/23/2025 ? Vocalizing in kennel nonstop while covered if anyone is walking by. Treats do not distract her and when walking she is pulling forward choking herself.
12/27/2025 ? Dog greeted handler at the front of the kennel with a loose wiggly body and soft wagging tail. Pulled on leash but was easily redirected by calling her name. Outside dog begged for attention and loved pets. After using the restroom, dog was easily placed back into kennel.
12/30/2025 ? Being reactive toward dogs that pass by her run. Showing teeth, lunging at run gate, raised hackles, and low growling.
1/1/2026 ? Alert barking while covered if any dog is walking by. Outside while walking she is pulling the leash forward on a tight leash, going to grab from outside. Began to try and jump upwards on handler; redirecting helps her relax.
1/2/2026 ? Shelly growled and vocalized toward neighboring dog through the divider several times throughout the day. When redirected she forward barked toward handler and jumped on the door. When feeding, she sat with wagging tail, ears back, eyes dilated, and gently pawed handler?s leg.
1/3/2026 ? Shelly vocalized toward other dogs while walking past her kennel and at times would growl. When it was her turn, she stood by her kennel with a happy tail and open mouth smile. Easy to leash, walked out to the runs pulling on leash. Treats were used to help her slow down.

12/23/2025 ? Intake exam completed. Weight 77.0 lbs. Heartworm test high positive.
12/24/2025 ? Spay verified. Weight stable. No additional medical concerns noted.
